The USP stands for United States Pharmacopeia, which is a non-governmental, official public standards setting authority for prescription and OTC medicines and other healthcare products manufactured or sold in the United States.
Our NF/USP waxes include Beeswax, Carnauba, Emulsifying Wax, Paraffin, Microcrystalline Wax, and Synthetic Paraffin Wax. The waxes have applications in semisolid preparations like ointments, creams or lotions, and suppositories.
Because of their lipophilic properties, waxes find numerous applications in other formulations as well. For example, our latest wax introduction into the pharmaceutical market is a flowable USP Powdered Wax Blend that is used as an excipient in tablet manufacturing.
