Progress is the driving force behind business – but it is the direction of progress that defines the business. At Koster Keunen, we believe that progress must be steady and meaningful, and 2025 was an exciting year for our company. With the expansion of our Watertown, CT, facility, new product rollouts, and continuing to grow our sustainability footprint, we are grateful to take a moment to reflect on what that growth means for us and for our partners in business and community.

Increasing the solar energy production and the production safety profile of our facility allows us to continue to push toward a future that combines our three pillars of environmental, social, and economic sustainability. It is with gratitude that we are celebrating the continued opportunity to supply some of the world’s finest waxes, including three wax products new to the market this year, to continue to enhance our customers’ formulation successes. With the commitment of our partners in business, we are able to grow our worldwide mission to promote supply chains that improve lives around the world.

Our efforts in West Africa have resulted in a transparent supply chain that sees more than 11,500 beekeepers tending over 271,000 hives. Such a strong showing by beekeepers in nine countries have resulted in economic improvements for their communities, as their efforts increase their economic outcomes and agricultural production, as well. The health of the communities and the health of the hives sustain one another. As Sylvain Cattin, our Managing Director in Togo said, “Let’s always try to do better for the future – with respect and goodwill.” We could hardly put it better. So, from all of us at Koster Keunen, we wish for you all the best now and in the coming year.
