Ingredients

Kostol Natural E

Natural, PEG-free nonionic o/w emulsifier. Provides a light to medium, wet break, low thickening. Can be used as a primary or secondary emulsifier. Usage level 2-8%.

Rice Bran Wax

Natural wax extracted from rice bran oil. Very high melting point and structuring capabilities, increases stick structure and stability. Structurant. Usage level 1-20%.

Kester Wax K-70P

Naturally derived plasticizer. Increases melt point, stability, and compatibility in anhydrous systems. Improves feel without affecting structure. Creates jellies and squeezables. Usage level 0.5-20%.

Procedure

  • Combine Phase A ingredients, mix and heat to 80-85°C.
  • Mix and melt Phase B materials, except for the pigment. Once the materials are melted, slowly add the pigment and mix.
  • Once both Phases are at homogenous and at temperature, add Phase B to A and increase mixing speed.
  • Mix at high speed until emulsion is smooth, then cool with slower mixing to 60°C.
  • Add phase C.
  • Continue mixing while cooling to 50°C or lower and pump into containers.

Stability Information

Three months at room temperature, three months at 50°C, three freeze/thaw cycles.
