Ingredients

Kester Wax CT

Vegan wax blend designed to mimic the properties of lanolin wax. Thickener, film former, texturizer, thickener, emollient. Usage level 0.5-20%.

SynKos M-1063

Synthetic wax that increases melt point and acts as a plasticizer in anhydrous formulas. Mimics the properties of higher melt point microcrystalline waxes. BHT free.

Kostol PGP

Non-ionic o/w emulsifier. Provides a quick break and light feel, without affecting viscosity. Designed for multiple formula types, wide pH tolerance. Usage level 2-6%.

Procedure

  • Combine Phase A ingredients and heat to 85°C.
  • Combine Phase B ingredients and heat to 85°C.
  • Once both Phases are at temperature, add Phase B to Phase A and mix with high speed.
  • When emulsion is smooth, begin cooling.
  • Pour at 62 -67°C into appropriate containers. Keep mixer on during filling.

Stability Information

Three months at 50°C, three months at room temperature, three freeze/thaw cycles.
