Ingredients

Kester Wax K-70P

Naturally derived plasticizer. Increases melt point, stability, and compatibility in anhydrous systems. Improves feel without affecting structure. Creates jellies and squeezables. Usage level 0.5-20%.

Kester Wax K-45

Light, non-greasy emollient derived from jojoba. Improves softness, spreadability, and after feel in leave-on formulas. Conditions skin and hair without buildup; adds glide, silkiness, and stability.

SynKos Wax 2050

Synthetic wax that increases melt point and provides hard structure in anhydrous formulas, mimics the properties of medium melt paraffins, ozokerites, polyethylenes. Economical, versatile structurant.

Procedure

  • Combine all Phase A ingredients.
  • Melt at 80-85°C and mix until uniform, using shear if necessary.
  • Add Phase B and mix while cooling.
  • Cool until 50-55°C and pump into containers.

Stability Information

Three months at 50°C, three months at room temperature, three freeze/thaw cycles.
