Ingredients

Ozokerite Wax 175

Ozokerites are blends of branched and linear hydrocarbons and provide different levels of structuring. Ozokerite 175 has excellent structuring capabilities in almost all liquid mediums. Usage level 1-15%.

SynKos M-1063

Synthetic wax that increases melt point and acts as a plasticizer in anhydrous formulas. Mimics the properties of higher melt point microcrystalline waxes. BHT free.

Kester Wax K-24

Naturally derived wax ester of plant origin. Low melt point semi-solid, melts on body contact, provides cooling sensation. Adds slip, reduces greasy feel, dimethicone alternative. Usage level up to 50%.

Procedure

  • Combine Phase B ingredients and mill until homogeneous.
  • Combine Phase A ingredients in a vessel, heat and mix until uniform.
  • Add Phase B to Phase A and mix.
  • Pour into containers at around 85° C, allow to cool to room temperature

Stability Information

Three months at 50° C, three months at room temperature, three freeze/thaw cycles.
