Ingredients

  • Synkos O-1070: Synthetic wax that increases melt point and provides hard structure in anhydrous formulas, mimics the properties of medium melt ozokerites. Economical, versatile structurant. BHT free.
  • Candelilla Wax: Wax blend designed to mimic the properties of natural candelilla wax. Hard and brittle, provies structure and gloss. Cost effective alternative to candelilla wax. Usage level 1-20%.
  • Kester Wax K-82P: Unique plasticizer. High melt point soft wax improves stability, compatibility, and feel of anhydrous systems without affecting structure. Creates jellies and squeezables. Usage level 0.25-20%.

Procedure

  • Combine Phase B/Color Base ingredients and mill until homogeneous.
  • Melt and mix Phase A.
  • Slowly add the color base to Phase A.
  • Once the pigments have been dispersed into Phase A, add Phase C. Mix quickly until uniform and pour into molds.
