Kostol NatureMuls

Natural, PEG-free nonionic o/w emulsifier. Provides a medium to long break, with some viscosity growth. Can be used as a primary or secondary emulsifier. Usage level 3-8%.

Kester Wax K-24

Naturally derived wax ester of plant origin. Low melt point semi-solid, melts on body contact, provides cooling sensation. Adds slip, reduces greasy feel, dimethicone alternative. Usage level up to 50%.

Procedure

  • Add rice starch to water and mix at medium to high speed until fully dispersed.
  • Premix glycerin and xanthan gum, add to Phase A and disperse well while heating to 80-85°C.
  • Combine Phase B ingredients and heat to 80-85°C, and add to Phase A.
  • Mix at high speed until emulsion is smooth, then cool at medium speed to 50°C or less.
  • Add Phase C, mix, and cool to room temperature.

Stability Information

Three months at 45°C, three months at room temperature, three freeze/thaw cycles.
