Ingredients

Kostol STMS

Cationic o/w emulsifier. Provides superior conditioning and frizz reduction. Promotes luxurious stable foam. Increases skin moisturization and adds a powdery after-feel. Usage level 1-8%.

Kester Wax K-24

Naturally derived wax ester of plant origin. Low melt point semi-solid, melts on body contact, provides cooling sensation. Adds slip, reduces greasy feel, dimethicone alternative. Usage level up to 50%.

Procedure

  • Combine Phase A ingredients and heat to 80–85°C.
  • Combine Phase B ingredients and heat to 80–85°C.
  • Once both Phases are at temperature, add Phase B to Phase A and increase mixing speed.
  • When emulsion is smooth, cool with slower mixing to 55°C or under and pour into containers.

Stability Information

Three months at room temperature, three months at 45°C, three freeze/thaw cycles.
