Manufacturing works best when convenience, safety, and quality all arrive together. And as part of our commitment to continuous improvement, Koster Keunen is making a packaging change that meets this challenge. On August 3, 2026 the package size of pastillated and granulated products will be changing from 25Kg cartons to 20Kg cartons.
It may seem like a small change, but the reduced carton weight aligns with OSHA ergonomic guidance on safe manual lifting limits, and that means reducing the risk of workplace injury for your employees and ours. At Koster Keunen, a pillar of our business is social responsibility, and that means including our customers in our sense of caring.
How the Change Is Phasing in
Existing inventory manufactured prior to August 3, 2026 will continue to be sold in its original 25Kg carton size until the existing inventory is depleted. The same products manufactured after August 3, 2026 will be packaged and sold in 20Kg cartons. The Date of Manufacture is listed on the Certificate of Analysis for reference. That way, you’ll be able to easily integrate the change.
You can look forward to working with the same high-quality products that you have already been purchasing from us. This packaging change will have no impact on the products themselves. Everything about the waxes and lipids you have come to expect from Koster Keunen stays the same, from the manufacturing processes, to test methodology, chemistry, and quality of the granulated and pastillated waxes. It will also not affect full pallet weight or full pallet dimensions.
