  • Kester Wax K-72: Naturally derived wax ester of plant origin. High melt point solid wax, provides structure and easy payoff in anhydrouss applications. Emollient, jojoba wax alternative. Usage level 1-10%.
  • Cocoa Butter: Natural wax extracted from Cocoa beans. Low melt point solid, provides thickening, some structure, and nourishment to skin and hair. Emollient, thickener, glossy finish. Usage level up to 100%.
  • Kester Wax K-60P: Naturally derived plasticizer. Increases melt point, stability, compatibility in anhydrous systems, thickens emulsions and provides texture. Usage level 0.5-20%.

  • Gently heat phase A and mix well until homogeneous.
    • Combine Phase B ingredients, and heat to 80 – 85°C until melted.
  • Add Phase B to Phase A and mix well until a homogeneous paste is formed. Do not exceed 80°C.
  • Add Phase C in small increments and mix until fully homogenous.
  • Press into desired molds, allow to set 24 hours, unmold
