SynKos Wax 2050

Synthetic wax that increases melt point and provides hard structure in anhydrous formulas, mimics the properties of medium melt paraffins, ozokerites, polyethylenes. Economical, versatile structurant.

Synthetic Candelilla Wax

Wax blend designed to mimic the properties of natural candelilla wax. Hard and brittle, provies structure and gloss. Cost effective alternative to candelilla wax. Usage level 1-20%.

Kester Wax K-82P

Unique plasticizer. High melt point soft wax improves stability, compatibility, and feel of anhydrous systems without affecting structure. Creates jellies and squeezables. Usage level 0.25-20%.

Kester Wax K-24

Naturally derived wax ester of plant origin. Low melt point semi-solid, melts on body contact, provides cooling sensation. Adds slip, reduces greasy feel, dimethicone alternative. Usage level up to 50%.

Procedure

  • Combine Phase B/Color Base ingredients and mill until homogeneous.
  • Melt and mix Phase A.
  • Next, slowly add the color base to Phase A.
  • Once the pigments have been dispersed into Phase A, add Phase C.
  • Mix quickly until uniform and pour into molds.

Stability Information

Three months at 45°C, three months at room temperature, three freeze/thaw cycles, one month at high relative humidity.
