Ingredients

Kester Wax K-24

Naturally derived wax ester of plant origin. Low melt point semi-solid, melts on body contact, provides cooling sensation. Adds slip, reduces greasy feel, dimethicone alternative. Usage level up to 50%.

Rice Bran Wax

Natural wax extracted from rice bran oil.Very high melting point and structuring capabilities, increases stick structure and stability. Structurant. Usage level 1-20%.

Cocoa Butter

Natural wax extracted from Cocoa beans. Low melt point solid, provides thickening, some structure, and nourishment to skin and hair. Emollient, thickener, glossy finish. Usage level up to 100%.

Procedure

  • Combine Phase A ingredients, allow to cool below 50°C.
  • Combine Phase B ingredients, and heat to 80 – 85°C until melted, allow to cool below 50°C.
  • Add Phase A to Phase B. Homogenize mixture until trace occurs. Once the desirable trace is achieved, pour into molds.
  • Allow to set for 24-48 hours and unmold and cut to continue curing process. After one week of curing, soap is ready for use.
