Ingredients

  • Sustainable Yellow Beeswax: Socially and environmentally responsible beeswax. Multifunctional; makes anhydrous formulas soft and pliable, makes emulsions glossy, thick and with excellent pickup. Structurant, plasticizer, thickener.
  • Kester Wax K-24: Naturally derived wax ester of plant origin. Low melt point semi-solid, melts on body contact, provides cooling sensation. Adds slip, reduces greasy feel, dimethicone alternative. Usage level up to 50%.
  • Kester Wax K-60P: Naturally derived plasticizer. Increases melt point, stability, compatibility in anhydrous systems, thickens emulsions and provides texture. Usage level 0.5-20%.

Procedure

  • Combine Phase A ingredients and heat to 80–85°C.
  • Combine Phase B ingredients and heat to 80–85°C.
  • Once both Phases are at temperature, add Phase B to Phase A and increase mixing speed.
  • When emulsion is smooth, *check pH and adjust if necessary.
  • Cool with slower mixing to 45°C or under and pour into containers.

Stability Information

Three months at room temperature, three months at 45°C, three freeze/thaw cycles.
