Ingredients

  • Kester Wax K-60P: Naturally derived plasticizer. Increases melt point, stability, compatibility in anhydrous systems, thickens emulsions and provides texture. Usage level 0.5-20%.
  • Kester Wax K-72: Naturally derived wax ester of plant origin. High melt point solid wax, provides structure and easy payoff in anhydrouss applications. Emollient, jojoba wax alternative. Usage level 1-10%.
  • Kester Wax K-24: Naturally derived wax ester of plant origin. Low melt point semi-solid, melts on body contact, provides cooling sensation. Adds slip, reduces greasy feel, dimethicone alternative. Usage level up to 50%.

Procedure

  • Combine Phase B ingredients and mill until homogeneous.
  • Combine Phase A ingredients in a vessel.
  • Heat and mix until uniform.
  • Add Phase B to Phase A and mix.
  • Pour into containers at around 85°C
  • Allow to cool to room temperature.

Stability Information

Three months at room temperature, three months at 45°C, three freeze/thaw cycles.
