Kostol NatureMuls

Natural, PEG-free nonionic o/w emulsifier. Provides a medium to long break, with some viscosity growth. Can be used as a primary or secondary emulsifier. Usage level 3-8%.

NaturalAtum

Natural wax blend designed to mimic the properties of petrolatum. Improves emolliency and lubricity in all systems. Thickener, film-former. Usage level 0.5-25%.

Kester Wax K-48

Naturally derived wax ester of plant origin. Provides opacity and texture to emulsions, with minimal impact on viscosity. Secondary structurant in anhydrous formulations. Usage level 1-20%.

Kester Wax K-24

Naturally derived wax ester of plant origin. Low melt point semi-solid, melts on body contact, provides cooling sensation. Adds slip, reduces greasy feel, dimethicone alternative. Usage level up to 50%.

Procedure

  • Combine the Sepimax Zen and water, mix well until homogenous.
  • Continue adding Phase A ingredients, then heat to 80–85°C, with mixing.
  • Mix and melt Phase B at 80-85°C until uniform. Add Phase B to A and mix until emulsion is formed and smooth.
  • Cool slowly while mixing at low speed to 45°C or less and add Phase C.

Stability Information

Three months at 45°C, three months at room temperature, three freeze/thaw cycles.
