Ingredients

Orange Wax

Natural wax, upcycled from orange peels. Low melt point wax that provides a unique scent and color. Adds interest to the label and energy in the formula. Emollient. Usage level 0.5-10%.

Kostol Natural E

Natural, PEG-free nonionic o/w emulsifier. Provides a light to medium, wet break, low thickening. Can be used as a primary or secondary emulsifier. Usage level 2-8%.

Kester Wax K-82P

Unique plasticizer. High melt point soft wax improves stability, compatibility, and feel of anhydrous systems and water-in-oil emulsions. Usage level 0.25-20%.

Procedure

  • Mix and melt all ingredients one at a time with moderate mixing.
  • Keep temperature at 85°C or under.
  • Once blend is completely homogeneous, cool to 75°C and pour into pots.

Stability Information

  • Three months at 45°C
  • Three months at room temperature
  • Three freeze/thaw cycles
