Kostol ApiFree

Natural, vegan blend designed to mimic the properties of PEG-8 Beeswax. Adds slip in anhydrous formulations. Improves stability in emulsions. Usage level 1-10%.

Kester K-82P

Provides flowability to the formula, maintains viscosity, suppresses oil migration.

Kester Wax K-24

Naturally derived wax ester of plant origin. Low melt point semi-solid, melts on body contact, provides cooling sensation. Adds slip, reduces greasy feel, dimethicone alternative. Usage level up to 50%.

Procedure

  • Combine all ingredients except for last two.
  • Melt at 80–85°C and mix until uniform.
  • Remove heat, add geranium oil and sugar.
  • Mix well while continuing to cool to desired pour/fill temperature

Stability Information

Three months at room temperature, three months at 45°C, three freeze/thaw cycles.
