Ingredients

  • Kostol NatureMuls: Natural, PEG-Free emulsifier. Can be used as a primary or secondary emulsifier. Used to add rich textures, playtime and can make bouncy textures.
  • NaturalAtum: Improves emolliency and lubricity. Creates barrier properties, can be used in any cosmetic preparation to replace petrolatum.
  • Kester Wax K-24: Natural ester and emollient that imparts slip, melts at body temp, offers slight cooling sensation. Provides light, dry, feel. Cuts greasiness with natural oils, esters and organic sunscreens.
  • Kester Wax K-48: Natural ester and emollient for all applications. Adds opacity and luxurious creamy feel to emulsions.

Procedure

  • Combine Phase A ingredients and heat to 80-85°C with mixing.
  • Combine Phase B ingredients and heat to 80-85°C with mixing.
  • Once both Phases are at temperature, add Phase B to Phase A and increase mixing speed.
  • Continue mixing until emulsion is smooth*check pH and adjust if necessary.
  • Cool slowly while mixing at low speed to 45°C or less.
  • Pour into containers.

Stability

Three months at room temperature, three months at 45°C, three freeze/thaw cycles.
