Kostol ApiFree

Natural, vegan blend designed to mimic the properties of PEG-8 Beeswax. Adds slip in anhydrous formulations. Improves stability in emulsions. Usage level 1-10%.

Sunflower Wax

Natural wax extracted from sunflower seeds.Very high melting point and excellent structuring capabilities, increases stick structure and stability. Structurant. Usage level 1-15%.

Bayberry Wax

Natural wax extracted from the Bayberry fruit. Low melt point solid, behaves like a butter in most formulations. Emollient, thickener, matte finish. Usage Level 0.5-15%.

Kester Wax K-24

Naturally derived wax ester of plant origin. Low melt point semi-solid, melts on body contact, provides cooling sensation. Adds slip, reduces greasy feel, dimethicone alternative. Usage level up to 50%.

Procedure

  • Combine Phase B (Color Base) ingredients and mill until homogeneous.
  • Combine Phase A ingredients and heat until melted and uniform.
  • Slowly add the color base to Phase A, mix until uniform.
  • Cool to about 80°C and pour into containers.

Stability Information

Three months at 45°C, three months at  room temperature, three freeze/thaw cycles.
