Ingredients

  • SynKos Wax 2065: Synthetic wax that increases melt point and provides hard structure in anhydrous formulas, mimics the properties of medium melt paraffins, ozokerites, polyethylenes. Economical, versatile structurant.
  • Kester Wax K-60P: Naturally derived plasticizer. Increases melt point, stability, compatibility in anhydrous systems, thickens emulsions and provides texture. Usage level 0.5-20%.
  • Kester Wax K-24: Naturally derived wax ester of plant origin. Low melt point semi-solid, melts on body contact, provides cooling sensation. Adds slip, reduces greasy feel, dimethicone alternative. Usage level up to 50%.

Procedure

  • Combine Phase B/Color Base ingredients and mix until homogeneous, milling if necessary.
  • Melt and Phase A.
  • Next, slowly add the color base to Phase A.
  • Once the pigments have been dispersed into Phase A, add Phase C.
  • Mix quickly until uniform and pour into molds.

Stability

Three months at 45°C, three months at room temperature, three freeze/thaw cycles.
