Rice Bran Wax: Natural wax extracted from rice bran oil.Very high melting point and structuring capabilities, increases stick structure and stability. Structurant. Usage level 1-20%.
Kester Wax K-60P: Naturally derived plasticizer. Increases melt point, stability, compatibility in anhydrous systems, thickens emulsions and provides texture. Usage level 0.5-20%.
Cocoa Butter: Natural wax extracted from Cocoa beans. Low melt point solid, provides thickening, some structure, and nourishment to skin and hair. Emollient, thickener, glossy finish. Usage level up to 100%.
Kester Wax K-24: Naturally derived wax ester of plant origin. Low melt point semi-solid, melts on body contact, provides cooling sensation. Adds slip, reduces greasy feel, dimethicone alternative. Usage level up to 50%.
Combine Phase B ingredients and mill until homogeneous.
Combine Phase A ingredients in a vessel, heat and mix until uniform.
Add Phase B to Phase A and mix.
Pour into containers at around 85°C, then cool to room temperature.
Three months at room temperature, three months at 45°C, three freeze/thaw cycles.
